VIVA Bahrain First to Introduce International Prepaid Credit Transfer
26.01.2012, Bahrain/Singapore - VIVA announced yesterday its latest partnership deal with the leading provider of international airtime transfer, TransferTo, an Ingenico company, enabling its prepaid customers to transfer credit to their loved ones overseas simply via SMS. Prepaid customers can now ensure their families and friends abroad are always able to get in touch with them no matter the occasion, celebration or emergency at hand.
The service, introduced by VIVA for the first time in Bahrain, is secure, immediate and can be used around the clock. It is available for twelve receiving countries: Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Thailand, Morocco, Jordan, Syria, Indonesia and Nepal. Customers perform the transfer via SMS, conveniently from wherever they happen to be, and are charged only for the credit they transfer. No subscription or SMS fee is required to use the service.

Credit transfer makes for a thoughtful gift, especially around major festivals, but can also be used by Bahrain residents travelling abroad and wishing to take their credit with them. To transfer credit, VIVA users can send the phone number they wish to send a top-up to in an SMS to 171 and follow subsequent instructions.
